What happens to the body during exercise?
Catabolic (breakdown) hormones are released which use up stored carbohydrate. Supplying the body with energy or carbohydrate pre-game or during exercise can decrease production of those levels!
30-60 grams carbohydrate every hour after the first hour of activity
