How Do I Lose Body Fat?

How do I lose body fat?

Start by eating 5-7 small meals a day with a whole grain carbohydrate, lean protein and some healthy fat. Eat until you are satisfied, not until you are stuffed.
Try to avoid high fat foods like fried food, desserts/ice cream and creamy sauces. Drink water with meals and increase your vegetable intake at lunch and dinner. Think of fueling your body a couple of hours at a time!

Fat – friend or foe?
Healthy fat IS needed in the body; however, you just don’t need as much of it as carbohydrate or protein because it is more calorie dense (has more caloriesper gram). Fat slows down digestion more than any other nutrient; thus you want to consume small amounts of fat often throughout the day. Examples would be peanut butter on a bagel, cheese on a sandwich, olive oil on vegetables, or avocado in a wrap.
